It's looking really good Ira. The warmer shirt was a good change, also the sharper shadow on the spot. It's a great composition too - that and the scratchy marks on the background really add to the drama.

Perhaps some tiny evidence of dark shadow in the clown's clothing folds?

Is it for a particular job?

Thanks Lynne. The shadow suggestion is good.
I am doing a whole series of illustrations on "clowns and fools" I will post them all at some point.
I've got Grock, Pagliacci, and assorted clowns in various acts.

Yes, macabre, sad, funny, and also smart.
I like that you experiment with new mediums and new ways of sketching...
